Expert Reports

Sometimes there are disputes over building and construction work, alterations and extensions to buildings, boundaries and party walls

Problems may arise over situations such as -
 Faulty building and construction work
Value of work carried out and alleged overcharging
 Quality of the workmanship
Disputes over the terms of the contract
 Building related accidents
 Boundary disputes
Party walls and the Party Wall Act
Chartered Building Surveyors are experienced professionals who are qualified to advise on a wide range of these, and other constructional matters.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, a Fellow of the RICS, I am regularly instructed to advise and prepare Expert Reports for Solicitors, Counsel and for the use of the Crown Prosecution Service.

I am a practising Member of the Academy of Experts, and an accredited member of the RICS Expert Witness Registration Scheme.

I am able to receive instructions to inspect and provide a report on faulty construction or bad workmanship, and to give an objective valuation of items which may be in dispute. I can also assess the situation to determine if the work was necessary, and value it to see if it has been overcharged.

My reports comply with the requirements of the Courts and the RICS, which demand that they are independent, and unbiased. They are logically set out, and well illustrated with the aim of presenting an easy-to-use expert opinion, which is essential to legal advisors, and the Court.
